Fairtrade Fortnight

Fairtrade is important to Co-op Academy Southfield because it represents the Co-op ways of being – Do what matters most, Show you care, Succeed together.

Fair trade is an arrangement to help producers in countries that grow goods like tea, coffee, cotton, bananas, chocolate, sugar etc to achieve fairer trade relationships. Through Fair Trade we can get a better deal for farmers.

At Co-op Academy Southfield we had a Fairtrade Fortnight 1st – 11th March where our students had Fairtrade activities in class and at the tuck shop to help us learn to recognise fair trade products and what they represent.
