During lockdown our post-16 art cohort participated in daily drawing classes on Google Meet with their teacher Alex Kendal and support Janet Deane. They started out doing life drawings but progressed onto looking at famous art works. The artwork will feature in an exhibition at Bradford Central libraries as soon as the library is able to open to the public again. The work will also be in an online exhibition run by the library.

The students showed passion and commitment to not only the art but each other, keeping morale up in these daily lessons. There were discussions about the news and sharing ideas of how to keep themselves happy and busy. Their teacher Alex says, ‘ I believe the students got so much from this experience that they wouldn’t have in class. We met each other’s families and learnt so much about each other. It was a privilege to run these sessions with such an exceptional bunch of fab students’.
