Uniform

The school uniform at Co-op Academy Southfield is compulsory for students in Key Stages 3 and 4.

Sixth formers are not required to wear the uniform.

What do we wear?

Our uniform consists of:

  • a navy blue jumper or cardigan with embroidered school badge
  • a royal blue polo shirt (embroidered school logo optional)
  • black school trousers or joggers for boys or girls, black school skirt or shalwar kameez in navy blue for girls
  • Also available (optional) are fleece jackets embroidered with the school badge.

Where can I buy it?

Embroidered items are available through Rawcliffes, 42-44 Darley St, Bradford BD1 3HN – please ensure you ask for Co-op Academy Southfield uniform;

and

Embroidery In House, 182 Highgate Road, Clayton Heights, Bradford, BD13 1DS –schoolwearexpress.co.uk/product-category/co-op-academy-southfield/

You can buy non-embroidered royal blue polo shirts and trousers/skirts/shalwar kameez/shorts/joggers from any supplier.

As many of our students need special footwear, there is no set uniform shoe but we would ask for ‘sensible shoes’ in a plain colour. These should be black or plain dark shoes, not open-toe, high-heeled or strapped. For students with complex needs, a school uniform napkin in navy blue will be provided at school to keep the uniform as clean as possible through the day.

We ask that all items of uniform be labelled with the student’s name, to help us to send everyone home wearing the right clothes.

We know that there are times when some students struggle with different aspects of the school uniform. We understand this and more than anything we want your child in school, please speak to us if this is causing any problems. We will work with you to find a solution.

Mobile phones, iPods, personal music and gaming technology should not usually be brought into school and on the rare occasion where this may happen then the teacher will ensure that the students hands this over to ensure that there are no interruptions to the learning.

Donating school uniform

If you have any old Co-op Academy Southfield school uniform at home that you no longer need, you can now bring it into school.

Students in our sixth form provision will then process the items ready to share (at no cost) at school events to other families in our community.

Please pass on any spare uniform to your child’s class teacher.
