On Friday 19th June, Southfield’s KS3 Choir went on a coach to Manchester to watch the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra at Media City.

We got to have some time outside in the sunshine with students from other schools before the show started.

We then went inside and listened to the Orchestra and learnt all about how the pieces were put together and what all the instruments were called and what they sounded like.

The students were amazing and a credit to Southfield – We even had a go at conducting the whole orchestra!
